Cory Rikard specializes in Career and Academic Counseling, helping students and adults make confident, well-informed decisions about their education and careers. With more than a decade of experience across career consulting and higher education, he brings both professional expertise and genuine care to every student he works with.

Since 2012, Cory has worked in career consulting and higher education, guiding students through the decisions that shape their academic and professional futures. As an Adjunct Professor, he also brings classroom experience and a firsthand understanding of the student journey to his work.

Cory holds bachelor’s degrees in Mass Communications and Child Services, along with a Master’s degree in Counseling with specializations in Career and Athletics Counseling. This academic foundation informs a thoughtful, individualized approach to advising every student he serves.

His areas of expertise include degree planning, transfer pathways, college selection, career exploration, resume development, cover letters, interview preparation, and academic transitions. Whether a student is choosing a major, preparing to transfer, or stepping into the workforce, Cory helps them build a clear, achievable plan.

Cory holds certifications in Athletics Counseling, Transfer Counseling, and Veterans Counseling, and is certified in the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) and the Strong Interest Inventory (SII). As a Certified Life Coach, he supports students not only with their academic and career goals but with their personal growth and confidence as well.
